King Arthur forms the Round Table, in hopes of civilizing the world. Lancelot, a French knight, travels to Camelot to join, and immediately falls in love with Guenevere at first sight. He tells her of his feelings and leaves Camelot so as not to betray Arthur, but he cannot stay away from her beauty and beguiling personality.

Meanwhile, Arthur's illegitimate son Mordred arrives from Scotland, scheming for a way to ensure his inheritance of the throne. He rallies the knights to expose Lancelot and Guenevere, forcing Arthur to choose between his queen and upholding the justice he instilled into the Round Table.
