Family Musical Theater, based in St. Louis, Missouri, USA, is a registered non-profit organization made up entirely of volunteers. A portion of proceeds from each production benefits a charity in our community. If you are interested in celebrating community theater, and sharing your talents in order help others, we welcome you to join us onstage, in the orchestra, or behind the scenes.
Our production staff is made up of persons with many years of experience with community theater. Several board members have over thirty years of experience in our community, with many different groups.
While some shows have a limited number of onstage parts, Everyone who auditions for our shows is welcome to contribute according to his/her abilities. Every show presents a unique set of opportunities for chorus, orchestra, stage crew, ushers, etc.
Everyone associated with our organization is strictly volunteer -- No one is paid. Cast members are responsible for the cost of their own costumes, and are encouraged to actively sell ads for the program book as well as tickets for the performances.
